WAA’s mandate for the Mount Royal Cemetery involved the preparation of a master plan for the entire site, proposals for new development areas, as well as the design of a new section called Mountain View, located on one of the summits of the mountain. The major goal of the master plan was to propose the most efficient site development for interment purposes while preserving the natural features of the cemetery and its magnificent views of the mountain, the city and of the St. Lawrence River.
