Though mostly residential, this 28.6 hectare project includes some commercial and institutional functions, in addition to a large central park. Currently in its preliminary conceptual stage, WAA is adopting a comprehensive approach to the planning and design of this project by first establishing a strong and identifiable ‘sense of place’ that both respects the overall Wuhan Tiandi ambiance but at the same time offers something strikingly unique. Special emphasis is being placed on the threshold spaces between the public streetscapes and private residences, the creation of successful urban corridors, and the design of effective streetscapes that support their proposed functions. The project will be completed in multiple phases over the next several years.
